Help with the Wi-Fi problems you live with.

Slow Wi-Fi or dropped connections

Video calls freeze, streaming buffers or your Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting. We investigate your wireless network, equipment and setup to understand where the problem is—and whether your internet provider may need to help.

Dead zones and weak signal

Wi-Fi works in the living room but barely reaches upstairs. We review coverage and equipment placement, then recommend tuning, relocation or additional equipment when it makes sense.

Home network and mesh Wi-Fi setup

Need help setting up a router, improving an existing mesh system or planning whole-home Wi-Fi? We scope the configuration or installation around your home and explain how to manage everyday tasks.

BETTER WI-FI, BEYOND THE WALLS

Your Wi-Fi shouldn’t stop
at the back door.

Work from the patio. Stream music in the garden. Stay connected while spending time in the yard. We can help extend reliable Wi-Fi into the outdoor spaces you use.

Outdoor Wi-Fi installation starts with your layout, existing network and the places you want to connect. We recommend equipment and access point placement suited to your property. Installation and any cabling are scoped and quoted separately.

A BETTER-CONNECTED SMART HOME

Your home’s little conveniences.
A network they can count on.

Smart switches, garage door openers, door locks, smart window treatments and thermostats all play a part in everyday life. When a device keeps going offline or won’t connect, those conveniences can become frustrations.

Coverage where devices live.

At the front door, in the garage or beside a window—your connected devices need attention beyond the rooms where you use your laptop. We assess Wi-Fi coverage where it matters to your home.

Help with connection problems.

We review your Wi-Fi setup, equipment placement and network settings to help identify what’s behind unreliable smart-home connections, including the network connection used by a device’s hub or bridge.

Plan for what’s next.

Adding more connected devices? We help plan the network around them and explain any recommended changes. Network configuration and installation work are scoped and quoted separately.

A few common questions

Let’s make sense of your Wi-Fi.

Why is my Wi-Fi slow when my internet plan is fast?

Your internet plan and your wireless connection are different parts of the network. Coverage, interference, equipment placement and device limitations can affect Wi-Fi performance. An assessment helps narrow down the cause before you buy more equipment.

Can you help if my Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting?

Yes. We troubleshoot dropped connections and review the setup. If only wireless devices disconnect, that points to a different problem than an outage affecting both wired and wireless devices. We explain our findings and recommend next steps.

Do I need a new router or mesh Wi-Fi system?

Not necessarily. Placement or settings may be contributing to the problem. We review what you already have before recommending replacements, additional access points or a new installation.

Can you set up mesh Wi-Fi or improve coverage upstairs?

Yes. We help with router and mesh Wi-Fi setup, whole-home coverage and weak signal in upstairs rooms or home offices. We review the layout and existing equipment before recommending repositioning mesh points, adding access points or planning wired connections.

Can you help with Wi-Fi from my internet provider?

Yes. We can assess the Wi-Fi around your home even if your router came from your internet provider. We look at coverage, placement and the connection itself. If the findings point to an incoming service issue or provider-owned equipment, we explain what to raise with your provider. 914 WiFi does not sell internet plans.

Can you help us replace an Araknis network?

We can review your current network, compare upgrade options and plan a UniFi installation if it fits your home. We also account for the smart-home and AV systems that depend on the network.

Do you install UniFi Wi-Fi in homes?

Yes. We can plan and install Ubiquiti UniFi access points, switches and gateways, or troubleshoot a system you already have. We’ll explain whether UniFi suits your home and whether wired connections back to the network would help.

How much does home Wi-Fi help cost?

The assessment is free. Focused Wi-Fi fixes start at $300 and optimization starts at $600. New installations and equipment are quoted for your property and project scope.
