WI-FI OPTIMIZATION · WESTCHESTER
Wi-Fi optimization and interference troubleshooting for homes, businesses and organizations in Westchester County. We investigate poor performance and tune the network around the space and devices that use it.
A strong signal, expensive equipment or lots of access points does not tell the whole story.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Full bars, but calls stutter or everyday tasks slow down. We investigate airtime use, interference and other possible bottlenecks.
Several APs or mesh points, yet the network still falls short. We review how the devices are placed, connected and configured together.
Problems between rooms or work areas can need a closer look at coverage, device behavior and the network layout.
BEFORE ADDING ANOTHER ACCESS POINT
During a recent assessment, Jonathan found six APs close together, with overlapping channels, high transmit power and channel widths too wide for the environment. That called for a closer review of the existing setup before recommending more equipment.
The number of APs alone does not determine whether a design is right. We consider the building, coverage needs and how the radios work together. The goal is to improve the setup based on evidence.
Why more Wi-Fi isn’t always better: a simple explanation →A PRACTICAL TUNING PROCESS
Review symptoms, equipment and performance in the areas you use. Look at the radio environment and the wired network behind it.
Review AP placement, channel selection, channel width and transmit power. Available settings depend on your equipment; we confirm what can be changed before agreeing on the work.
Repeat checks in the agreed areas and review the devices and activities in scope. Explain what changed and whether further work is needed.
Radio settings are only part of the investigation. A cable fault, switching issue, device limitation or internet-service problem can produce similar symptoms. We explain when the findings call for a different kind of repair.
Tell us where Wi-Fi falls short →SCOPE AND PRICING
The free assessment includes up to two hours of review and recommendations. Detailed measurement and tuning projects are scoped separately, with Wi-Fi optimization starting at $600.
If a straightforward fix can be handled during the assessment visit—such as relocating existing mesh points—we may offer on-the-spot work at $150 per hour with a one-hour minimum. We agree on the applicable service and cost before paid work begins.
No ongoing IT contract is required for project work. See pricing and scope details.
COMMON QUESTIONS
No. Tell us the make and model of your system so we can confirm the available diagnostics and configuration options. Some consumer mesh systems expose fewer controls. For Ubiquiti-specific help, explore UniFi Wi-Fi optimization and AP tuning.
No. We choose changes based on the environment and check their effect. A suitable setting in one property may create coverage or performance problems in another.
Yes. We coordinate authorized management access with you or your provider and can work alongside an internal IT team. We review the system before agreeing on the scope.
Possibly, but that is not a starting assumption. Repositioning or tuning may be enough; another property may need additional APs or better wired connections. We explain what the findings support.
We do not promise a fixed speed increase or an interference-free environment. Neighboring networks, client devices and internet service can limit the result. We check the agreed areas and explain improvements and remaining limitations.
