Know where coverage falls short—and what to do next.
Planning an office move, renovating a home or dealing with Wi-Fi that still struggles after equipment upgrades? A closer look at the space and the network can help you make an informed decision before buying more access points or running cable.
We work with property owners, business managers, builders and IT teams to define the areas that matter, investigate the current setup and plan a practical next step.
Discuss a survey or network plan →Free assessment or paid site survey?
The free assessment helps you decide what to do next. A paid survey or planning project provides the deeper measurements and agreed design work needed to make specific decisions.
START WITH GUIDANCE
Free Wi-Fi assessment
- Up to two hours reviewing your concerns, coverage, performance and existing equipment.
- Recommendations for the next step, with no obligation to proceed.
- Does not include a formal survey report or detailed network design.
- Repairs, configuration, installation and cabling are separate paid work.

Paid survey & network planning
- Measurements and investigation in the areas agreed for your project.
- Review of coverage, interference, equipment placement and relevant network settings.
- Planning recommendations and documentation defined in the quote.
- Scope, deliverables and price agreed before work begins. Installation is quoted separately.
Discuss the scope and price →What we can include in your scope.
Measure the spaces you actually use.
Agree on the rooms, desks, shared areas or outdoor spaces to check. We can review signal coverage and performance, look for interference and examine how nearby access points are configured.
Look beyond the Wi-Fi signal.
Placement is only part of the picture. Where relevant, the scope can include checking wired connections, switching and the existing network layout to help identify what is limiting performance.
Plan equipment and cable locations.
Working around plaster, masonry or finished rooms? See our Wi-Fi options for older homes.
For a new installation or upgrade, we can recommend access point locations, wired connections and equipment requirements around your layout and intended use. For new builds, we can review plans with your builder or IT team before the walls close.
Agree on the documentation you need.
Depending on the project, deliverables can include a written findings summary, recommended equipment, proposed access point locations or cabling requirements. Tell us if you need heat maps, a formal survey report or a particular reporting standard so we can confirm whether we can meet it before quoting.
Not every project needs every deliverable. The quote will identify what is included, what is excluded and any access or information we need from you.
A practical plan, from first conversation to next steps.
- Tell us what you need to decide. Share the property type, town, problem areas, existing equipment and any floor plans.
- Agree on scope and pricing. We define the areas to review, the investigation and the deliverables before scheduling paid work.
- Review the space and network. We carry out the agreed checks and discuss any access or operational limitations.
- Walk through the findings. We explain recommendations and options. Any tuning, cabling or installation work is agreed separately.
Survey and planning work is quoted to the project; it is not automatically included in the free assessment. See our pricing page for other service options.
Questions before you book.
Do I need to replace my current system?
Not necessarily. In one office, relocating existing mesh points improved speeds in the slower locations from around 30 to 300 Mbps before a later wired UniFi upgrade. Read the project story. Those results are specific to that project.
Can you plan a system before the building is finished?
We can discuss a scope based on your plans and intended use. Actual performance depends on the finished building, equipment and environment; any on-site validation after installation should be included in the agreed scope.
Does a survey include fixing the problems?
Only if that work is explicitly included in the quote. A survey or plan does not automatically include configuration changes, repairs, equipment or installation.
Can you work with our existing installer or IT team?
Yes. We can coordinate the review and recommendations with your team, agreeing who handles access, changes and implementation.
Let’s define the right level of detail.
Tell us what you’re planning and what you need to learn. We’ll help you choose between an initial free assessment and a separately quoted survey or network plan.
